Hiking the Routeburn Track in New zealand


The Routeburn Track; 32km more than 3 or 4 days, is a shocking elevated walk navigating the Southern Alps in the middle of Queenstown and Milford Sound

The Routeburn Track extends more than 32km and has the absolute most dazzling perspectives and various verdure of any of the Great strolls in the Queenstown/Fiordland zone.

Beginning just past Glenorchy (a little township outside to move to the high tussocks of the Routeburn Falls.

An overnight stop in either the Flats or Falls hovel is tantamount to any of the inns accessible in any town in NZ; giving kitchen offices, running water, flush (western) toilets and bunk style rooms with sleeping cushions and obviously incredible comparable minded individuals to talk to.

From here the track trips to the Routeburn Saddle intersection and tracks along the Hollyford valley, snow capped blooms and high elevation greenery prevail the scene and in addition perspectives to the ocean on a crisp morning.

From here the track leads through green, overgrown vegetation - and past various foaming rivulets and streams, you can very envision a pixie or pixie showing up along this mysterious segment of the track before it opens up to broad perspectives over the valleys and into the Fiordland National Park.

Those with additional time may wish to stay at the Howden Hut so you have time for the walkway up Key Summit before at last touching base at the Divide which is making progress toward Milford Sound.

As you are so close, it merits sorting out an outing to Milford Sound from your get up at the Divide and appreciate a journey on the sound before drilling back to Queenstown or Te Anau for an all around earned shower and brew.
